Godslayer: Chapter 1Khares sat cross-legged in the room of an inn located in the city of Crossroads, a few miles away from the plains where the incident with the orcish tribe took place. In his hands he held the sheathed sword he’d carried the whole day; a sentient weapon called Godslayer, a greatsword created magically by Merak, evil god of The Underworld and strife, for his right-hand man, Marlon, who then betrayed him. When Merak killed Marlon and sealed his soul in Godslayer, it gave the sword immense powers… and a conscience. The intelligent weapon would like nothing more than to kill deities. Godslayer: PrologueThe towering humanoid strutted through the dangerous countryside with a carefree manner that would only come from a lunatic or a man who was unaware of the dangers of the plains. Yet this cloaked figure seemed like neither. The cloak hid his upper body and face, and danced about his thick, muscular legs. The hilt of a monstrous two-handed sword was evident even through the cloak. This man, this creature, was obviously a warrior; though even warriors of renown watched themselves in these treacherous territories.
